Man with Van Lee Modern Slavery Statement

This Modern Slavery Statement sets out the actions taken by Man with Van Lee to prevent modern slavery and human trafficking within our operations and supply chains. We recognise our responsibility to conduct business in a manner that respects human rights and upholds fair and safe working conditions.

Our Commitment and Zero-Tolerance Policy

Man with Van Lee has a zero-tolerance approach to all forms of modern slavery, forced labour, human trafficking, debt bondage, and child labour. We are committed to acting ethically and with integrity in all business dealings and to implementing effective systems and controls to ensure that modern slavery is not taking place anywhere in our business or in any part of our supply chains.

All directors, employees, contractors, and suppliers are expected to uphold this commitment. We do not knowingly work with any organisation that is involved in, or turns a blind eye to, modern slavery or human rights abuses.

Our Business and Supply Chains

Man with Van Lee provides moving and transportation services. Our primary risks in relation to modern slavery arise within our supply chains, which may include vehicle hire and maintenance providers, fuel suppliers, equipment and packaging suppliers, facilities services, and other outsourced service providers.

We seek to work with suppliers who share our values and who can demonstrate that they respect and protect the rights and welfare of their workers.

Supplier Standards and Audits

We expect all suppliers to operate in compliance with applicable labour, employment, and human rights laws, and to ensure that work is performed voluntarily and under fair conditions. We are progressively embedding anti-slavery expectations into our supplier selection and management processes.

Where proportionate to the nature and risk level of the relationship, we may undertake supplier audits or request evidence of their own modern slavery policies and procedures. These checks may include reviewing workforce practices, recruitment methods, use of temporary or agency labour, and subcontracting arrangements. If concerns arise, we will seek clarification and corrective action within a reasonable timeframe. Where a supplier fails to address identified issues, we may suspend or terminate the relationship.

Reporting Concerns and Whistleblowing

We encourage anyone who works for or with Man with Van Lee, or who comes into contact with our operations, to report any suspicion or evidence of modern slavery or human trafficking. Concerns can be raised with management or through existing internal reporting channels, and may be made in confidence where appropriate.

We will take all reports seriously, investigate them promptly, and act where necessary to protect individuals who raise genuine concerns. Victimisation of any person for reporting concerns in good faith will not be tolerated.

Training and Awareness

We aim to increase awareness of modern slavery risks among relevant staff, particularly those involved in procurement, supplier management, and operational oversight. Training and guidance will focus on recognising indicators of exploitation, understanding reporting routes, and applying our zero-tolerance principles in day-to-day decision-making.

Monitoring, Governance, and Annual Review

Responsibility for overseeing this Modern Slavery Statement and related measures rests with the leadership of Man with Van Lee. We monitor the effectiveness of our approach through ongoing review of supplier practices, responses to concerns raised, and changes in legal or regulatory requirements.

This statement will be reviewed at least once every year to ensure it remains current, effective, and aligned with best practice. As part of the annual review, we will consider whether further steps, such as enhanced due diligence, extended supplier audits, or additional training, are required to strengthen our response.

This Modern Slavery Statement reflects our commitment to continuous improvement and to conducting business in a way that protects the dignity, safety, and rights of all people connected to our operations and supply chains.
